In truth and spirit

We are created in the likeness of God.  Ephesians tells us that God reflects His nature and character as a Loving Father, Grace-filled Son, and Guiding and Comforting Holy Spirit.  We receive "every spiritual blessing" in three characters.

Pastor Robert reminds us that we should strive to project that likeness into our community and for our neighbors benefit. Salvation means to rescue from sin but it also means to heal the soul; to reflect the image and likeness of God.

Several prayer requests for sickness and guidance were received during the week.  Please remember those families during your prayers.  Also, remember to lift up those who have unspoken requests.

please remember

As we enter into this new year and finish the holiday season, please remember that not everyone has had the blessing of good cheer and joy the past few weeks.  Life does not stand still for the bountiful beauty and love that is expected during Christmas.  Several families have been hard hit with health issues, death, and financial blows.  Take a moment to reflect and offer thanks for the small blessings (warm home, health, the laugh of children, a full bell) that are ours.  Once you are done with your thanksgiving, take a moment to pray for your neighbor and your community.  Hope abundance comes to them more than you wish and want for yourself.

Everyone take a moment to be the light in this dark world. When the Christ child was born, we were given the choice to be a difference and to be an embodiment of Him and the Church in our community.  Be that beacon on Hope and Joy for someone.

Pastor Robert asks for everyone to pray out of their comfort zone.  Make your own personal "prayer swaddle" of thanksgiving and gratitude. Remember to see your neighbor as you see yourself and to wish and pray the same abundance for them that you do for yourself and those close to you.  These are the steps to redemption.

Pastor Robert Burlingham asks that you remember to look for HOPE in all places.  Look to the children because they are HOPE in the flesh. Remember to be like Ezra and look to rebuild and hope to expand the love and grace of Christ.

Pastor Robert asks that everyone remember the families that are in the path of the wildfires.

He also wishes that everyone would remember that God already knows what is on their hearts. Take a moment to rejoice in those that have shaped your walk with the Lord.

November 18, 2018  Counting our Blessings

Pastor Robert asks us all to remember to count our blessings and to look at faith through the lens of abundance.  Fear has us focus on scarcity and has us turn away from Hope.

Take the time to love yourself in prayer while you are lifting others.

Pastor Roberts asks that everyone continue to uplift those that are on your mind and in your heart.  He also encourages everyone to take a moment and to pray for self.  You are Saved by His grace. You are worthy.

Pastor Robert asks that the community reach out and uplift one another.  As we head into the holiday season, understanding and patience are needed for everyone.

Please remember to whisper the names of those on your heart and on your mind in prayer.

Pastor Robert asks that everyone please lift up the names that have been placed on your hearts and to remember everyone that has been hit by these tumultuous times.
