In truth and spirit

We are created in the likeness of God.  Ephesians tells us that God reflects His nature and character as a Loving Father, Grace-filled Son, and Guiding and Comforting Holy Spirit.  We receive "every spiritual blessing" in three characters.

Pastor Robert reminds us that we should strive to project that likeness into our community and for our neighbors benefit. Salvation means to rescue from sin but it also means to heal the soul; to reflect the image and likeness of God.

Several prayer requests for sickness and guidance were received during the week.  Please remember those families during your prayers.  Also, remember to lift up those who have unspoken requests.

As we enter into this new year and finish the holiday season, please remember that not everyone has had the blessing of good cheer and joy the past few weeks.  Life does not stand still for the bountiful beauty and love that is expected during Christmas.  Several families have been hard hit with health issues, death, and financial blows.  Take a moment to reflect and offer thanks for the small blessings (warm home, health, the laugh of children, a full bell) that are ours.  Once you are done with your thanksgiving, take a moment to pray for your neighbor and your community.  Hope abundance comes to them more than you wish and want for yourself.
